Top 3 Things to Do at Wind Cave National Park

1. Take a Ranger-led Tour of a Cave

With slightly more than 140 miles of passageways, it’s the sixth longest cave on Earth. On your tour, you’ll see incredible mineral formations and learn interesting cave trivia. Tour sizes are limited. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Go Bison Watching

Wind Cave National hosts 400-500 wild bison on its 20 acres. Look for them in grasslands, near prairie dog towns and on the edge of forests.

3. Hike the Wind Cave Canyon Trail

This 1.8-miler cruises through a classic limestone canyon where birdwatching is excellent. Watch out for great horned owls and cliff swallows.
